PSIA-AASI is proud to announce its 2025 Scholarship recipients. Professional development access and affordability are a crucial part of helping our members build careers in snowsports education. PSIA-AASI scholarships directly support members with funding for certifications, credentials, educational events, and memberships.

“PSIA-AASI’s scholarship programs, both at the national and regional levels, provide members with the chance to expand their skills, polish their teaching approaches, and get certified across the full array of snowsports disciplines,” said Laura Armstrong PSIA-AASI Project Manager, Scholarships and Awards.

“Scholarships are made possible by generous donors who believe in the impact of certified instructors for elevating the snowsports experience. More than 40 people, representing every region and the national board, participated in reviewing scholarship applications for the 2024-25 season. PSIA-AASI scholarships are a powerful investment in our members, making dreams come true and providing a pathway to achieve excellence in snowsports instruction.”

Each scholarship enables members to advance their ski and snowboarding education and training while furthering their professional and personal goals.

Adaptive Education Track Scholarship

This scholarship program awards members and non-members with funds to pursue an adaptive certification education track. These scholarships help offset expenses related to preparing for and attending an adaptive certification during the season.

In partnership with the 10th Mountain Division Foundation, this scholarship program provides veterans and active military personnel with educational opportunities that support their transition to careers in the outdoor industry.

Nancy Oakes Hall Women’s Scholarship

Founded by former PSIA Alpine Team Member (1992-96) Nancy Oakes Hall, this scholarship enables women who are members of PSIA-AASI to advance their skills and seek leadership roles in the industry.

Certification or Specialist Education Track Scholarship

This scholarship program awards members and non-members with funds to pursue a certification or specialist education track. These scholarships help offset expenses related to preparing for and attending a certification or specialist credential during the season.

Small Snowsports School Scholarship

This scholarship is for PSIA-AASI Member Schools around the U.S. with less than 150 staff members. The award provides access to educational events and education leaders, such as PSIA-AASI National Team members, who provide experiences that may be career-changing.
