We are looking for ski and/or ride instructors willing to work with all ages, with a focus on children, to provide high quality instruction and coaching.  If you are excited about opening the world of snowsports to Saddleback’s guests and working in a close knit team, we strongly urge you to apply.

Required Skills and Abilities:

– High level intermediate to expert level skiing and snowboarding skills.
– Excellent communication and guest service skills.
– Must work well in a team.
– Must be able to work holidays and weekends.

Physical Demands:

– Lift up to 50 pounds.
– Skate and/or climb uphill to assist students.
– Adequate (knee, hip and shoulder) joint stability and physical strength and endurance to perform prolonged periods (3+ hours) of sustained snow sport instructional activities.
– Able to remain on feet, in the cold, rain, snow, and wind for more than 4 hours at a time.
– Physical ability to respond appropriately to emergencies and other unplanned situations.

Hiring for the winter season will happen on a rolling basis.

Saddleback Mountain Ski Operations in Rangeley, Maine was purchased by Boston-based Arctaris Impact Fund in January of 2020, as an investment in the recovery of the region’s largest employer. As a result, our mission goes beyond getting the resort back on its feet and includes helping solve many of the challenges in rural communities. In addition to re-establishing Saddleback as one of the most iconic ski areas in the country, we are also working to increase affordable housing, access to childcare, providing seasonal workers with year-round benefits and increasing access to health and wellness care for families across the region.
