Job Summary:
Gore Mountain is looking to fill our Snowsports Program Supervisor position joining our leadership team that reports directly to the Snowsports Director. This position requires demonstrated experience in supervision and management of staff, as well as teaching skiing and/or snowboarding, with a ski or snowboarding ability level of intermediate or above.
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Daily, work with the Snowsports Director and Snowsports Program leaders to carry out timely and accurate scheduling that assures adequate staffing and the ability to make changes as necessary.
· Assure all programs are run within the proper financial requirements and any necessary changes require immediate review with the Snowsports Director.
· Leads any Snowsports Program or assigns leadership that requires management to assure proper staffing and execution of program is carried out within the proper financial budget.
· Communicate and coordinate any immediate changes that impact a Snowsports Program such issues as weather changes that may require cancellation or rescheduling for Snowsport Program training days.
· Work with and manage the Program Leaders and/or Coaches in setting up and tearing down the program areas as needed for lesson assignments and activities.
· Communicate with parents and guardians to address guest requests and concerns regarding any program to assure a positive outcome.
· Monitor programs on the hill as they are being taught to assure the quality of lessons, and mentor Program Leaders and/or Coaches in a manner that assists them with providing quality instruction and a high-quality guest experience, including recognition of high performance, and corrective action where necessary.
· Coordinate staff training with Gore Mountain Training Supervisors to assure that Program Leaders and/or Coaches are provided the opportunity to attend regular teaching clinics that will provide skills and other training necessary to enhance their job performance, and/or to address any deficiencies in their skills or abilities.
· Assure the adherence by all Program Leaders and/or Coaches to all program safety requirements including required policy training and incident reporting.
· Support Mountain Adventure Daily Lesson Supervisors and perform any necessary duties to assure proper scheduling for Mountain Adventure Daily Staff (Instructors), working either in coordination with the Snowsports Director or independently, as applicable, to utilize Domo, SiriusWare, and other available IT platforms for those purposes.
· Perform all the necessary daily duties of a Daily Mountain Adventure Program Supervisor when necessary, such as payroll accuracy, check in procedure, instructor assignments, and any other responsibilities within or outside the scope of the job to assure proper execution of daily lessons.
· Teach Group and Private lessons as needed.
· Always work safely following all training and ORDA safety protocols and procedures.
· Full or Part Time Seasonal Position. Snowsport Director approval depending on Snowsports Leadership team.
Skills and Qualifications:
· Minimum PSIA/AASI Level 1
· Children’s Specialist Accreditation
· Excellent Customer service skills
· Strong leadership and organizational skills
· Ability to identify and resolve issues promptly and effectively
· Ability to work effectively with other team members and staff
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office

Wage/Salary:
This position is identified as a Grade 14 on the ORDA/CSEA schedule with a rate of $21.51 per hour.
