The General Manager of Mont Ripley Ski Area is a highly collaborative, innovative, and professional business leader responsible for providing strategic direction and oversight for all aspects of the Mont Ripley experience on the 112 acres of skiable terrain with 3 lifts, 440’ vertical drop, and 24 trails for over 40,000 annual visits.  Mont Ripley opened in 1933 as the first ski area in Michigan, and has been part of Michigan Technological University since 1945.  There has been an active Ski Patrol since 1936, as founding members of the National Ski Patrol.

Functions and sub-departments under the direction of the General Manager include guest services, lift operations, ski school and University P.E. classes, rentals and retail operations, mountain operations, sales and marketing, land management, and financial management of over $1.3 million in annual revenue.
