SRS Director Job Description
Essential SRS Director Functions
· Recruit and hire seasonal ski instructors.
· Assist the SRS Lead Trainers in the development of training curricula and the training of instructors in the most up-to-date teaching methods.
· Develop and maintain a schedule of instructors to ensure adequate coverage during peak times.
· Categorize customers and assign lessons appropriately.
· Ensure that teaching staff report to lineup on time.
· Greet guests and help assess their ability levels.
· Assign guests to the appropriate lesson and instructor.
· Maintain a presence on the beginner hill to assist instructors.
Preferred SRS Director Qualifications
· Certification from the Professional Ski Instructors of America (PSIA) or the American Association of Snowboard Instructors (AASI). A minimum Level 1 certification is required, while Level 2 certification is preferred and often necessary.
· At least 5 years of experience in ski instruction and staff management is typically required.
· Strong leadership and interpersonal skills to manage and supervise instructor staff.
· A solid understanding of current ski industry trends and teaching methods.
· Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications and basic accounting.
· Excellent customer service skills to ensure a positive experience for guests.
Essential SRS Ski Instructor Functions The SRS Director will oversee SRS Instructors and Trainers who are held to the following standards: Instructors will teach group and private lessons in a safe, professional manner consistent with the Bousquet Snow Sport Teaching Model, PSIA standards, and safety policies. It is the duty and responsibility of the instructor to:
· Be available for work during peak holiday periods as well as regularly scheduled programs.
· Be punctual for all assignments, lineups, clinics, and meetings, arriving at least ten minutes early on snow.
· Maintain a professional appearance in the workplace.
· Assist supervisors in the organization of lessons. Duties may include greeting and assisting customers or bringing a late student up to speed with a class.
· Observe all safety guidelines set forth in this manual and conduct lessons accordingly.
· Maintain a professional attitude and accept daily assignments willingly.
· Model good skiing/riding technique and demonstrate skills, utilizing the skiing/boarding model in lessons.
· Make logical and appropriate decisions during instruction.
· Attend clinics to maintain a professional level.
Special Qualifications The SRS Director must monitor the basic skills needed by ski/ride instructors and supervisors. It is the responsibility of the SRS Director to mentor instructors toward actively pursuing constant growth and improvement in these areas.
· Understand and consistently model the professional standards outlined in the manual, clinics, and meetings.
· Follow teaching model principles when conducting lessons, including: Introduction (stating the class objective, determining the lesson plan, presenting information), Demonstration (practice, checking for understanding), and Summary.
· Have working knowledge of the latest edition of the ATS Children’s Skiing Handbook and AASI Boarding Handbook.
Skiing/Riding and Demonstrations
· Demonstrate basic skiing and riding skills.
· Use techniques and demonstrations appropriate to class level and snow conditions.
· Demonstrate the Centerline Model and ski school levels 1–8; ride and demonstrate from beginner through advanced board riding.
Physical and Mental Demands This position involves skiing/snowboarding and hauling equipment such as signs, netting, or training tools on all terrain. Must be able to lift 50 lbs., bend, and twist. Mental demands include staying calm in emergency situations.
Work Environment This position involves working outside in all weather conditions, including extreme cold, snow, wind, and rain, on varied snow surfaces. It requires being on your feet for much of the scheduled shift.

This means that both employees and Mill Town Capital (and its affiliates) have the right to terminate employment at any time, with or without advanced notice, and with or without cause. Employees may also be demoted or disciplined, and the terms of their employment may be altered at any time, at the discretion of Mill Town Capital.
No one other than the Mill Town Capital Chairman, CEO, COO, or business General Manager has the authority to alter this arrangement or make any agreement contrary to this arrangement, and any such agreement must be in writing and signed by one of the aforementioned individuals.
This letter sets forth our entire agreement and understanding regarding the terms of your employment with Bousquet Enterprises, Mill Town Capital, and its affiliates and supersedes any prior representations or agreements, whether written or oral. Additionally, this offer is contingent upon verifying your authorization to work in the United States. A copy of the Employment Eligibility Verification form will be provided during orientation.
