National Academies + Rider Rally Event Scholarships

PSIA-AASI would like to welcome members to attend National Academy (Alpine) or Rider Rally (Snowboard)! This scholarship provides financial assistance for registration (up to the full cost). Additionally, our Premier Partner, Hestra, will be providing $1,000 to the top two applicants to help cover lodging and travel expenses (and two new pairs of gloves for each). Must be current members with at least a relevant Level I certification.

2027 Event Applications Are Open!

For the 2027 event, we are offering financial assistance for registration, travel, or lodging costs for National Academy (Alpine) or Rider Rally (Snowboard). We hope to offer additional scholarships for other disciplines in the future.

The scholarship helps to cover the event registration fee, travel, or lodging costs, and is intended for current PSIA-AASI members with a certification. See additional important details below.

How to Apply

  • The deadline to submit is Sunday, November 1, 2026. Scholarships will be announced in early December.

  • This scholarship provides financial assistance for registration and/or travel costs for the April 2027 event.
  • Scholarships are non-transferrable. You may not gift it to someone else or delay it to 2028. If you are unable to use it, we will award it to someone else who can and you may apply again the following year.
  • At this time, scholarships are not available for telemark, adaptive, or cross-country events.

  • Be a current PSIA-AASI member.
  • Have an Alpine Level I or Snowboard Level I certification, at minimum.

Applicants must supply the following materials to complete the application:

  1. A one-page cover letter. Please share how this opportunity will be used support your future in snowsports education and the broader snowsports education community.
  2. A letter of endorsement from your current or former snowsports supervisor or manager.

  • Applying for a scholarship is NOT considered registering for the event.
  • Please register ASAP if your attendance is not dependent on being awarded a scholarship.
  • Only individuals who are awarded scholarships will automatically be registered for the event.
  • If you apply for a scholarship and don’t get it, you can cancel your registration for a full refund (as long as you do it prior to the cancellation deadline).
