FALKE and PSIA-AASI have come together to empower emerging snowsports educators by providing high-performance gear and financial support that enhances their professional development, fosters community leadership, and elevates the standard of instruction.

This scholarship celebrates the intersection of technical excellence, wellness, and movement—core values shared by FALKE and PSIA-AASI.

The FALKE × PSIA-AASI Education Scholarship supports instructors who demonstrate exceptional commitment to growth, inclusion, and impact within the snowsports community. Whether advancing their certification, mentoring others, or innovating in their teaching approach, recipients will be selected for their potential to shape the future of mountain education.

● Encourage regional leadership and peer mentorship.
● Promote wellness, movement, and professional excellence through gear and travel support.

How to Apply

  • Review scholarship funding.
  • Review the application criteria.
  • Review the application materials.
  • The deadline to submit is Wednesday, December 31, 2025 or until we receive 100 applications. Scholarships will be announced in early February.
  • Please note: If you apply for and receive a scholarship this season (2025-26) and do not use it this season, you’ll need to reapply for the same scholarship for next season (2026-27).

  • The top 10 applicants will receive:
    • Two full FALKE performance kits
  • The top 3 applicants will also receive:
    • $1,000 stipend for education or certification (including travel)

Applicants must:

  • Active PSIA-AASI members who have paid dues for the 2025-26 season.
  • Current LI, LII, or Specialist 1 pursuing higher certification in the 25-26 season (all disciplines).
  • Be actively pursuing professional development (e.g., certification, clinics, mentorship roles).
  • Demonstrate a commitment to wellness, movement, and community impact.
  • Express interest in pursuing any level certification (all disciplines) or pursuing a specialist designation (children’s or freestyle).

Applicants must submit:

  • We invite submissions of short stories that explore the lives of snowsports instructors beyond the slopes. Stories should highlight the depth of your social engagement within your community—whether through volunteer work, local advocacy, mentorship, or support for disadvantaged individuals. We are especially interested in narratives that showcase instructors as community builders: promoting local initiatives, fostering inclusion, and making a meaningful impact outside your professional snowsports instructing role.
  • Letter of recommendation from a PSIA-AASI trainer, supervisor, or peer.
