WHY ATTEND?

2027 Theme: Together We Rise

The 2027 PSIA-AASI Women’s Summit will bring together 150 women from across disciplines, generations, roles, and experience levels for three days of on- and off-snow learning, connection, mentorship, and growth.

Through on-snow skill development plus programming focused on teaching, people skills, and leadership, participants will build confidence, strengthen relationships, and leave equipped to share what they learned—creating a ripple effect in their schools, communities, and the snowsports profession.

The theme will shape the full summit journey: beginning with community and connection, progressing into purposeful skill development and action, and concluding with how participants can bring their growth home to strengthen others.

Cross-disciplinary learning, mentorship, coach-led conversations, and personalized pathways will reinforce the idea that individual growth has its greatest impact when it helps the whole community rise.

2027 Keynote Speaker: Muffy Davis

“I am about success through determination. I am here to live the best I can and through that lead others into the best they can be!” ~ Muffy, at age 15

Muffy Davis is a nationally respected leader in adaptive sport, public service, and nonprofit advocacy whose life’s work reflects an enduring commitment to inclusion, service, and community impact. For more than 25 years, she has inspired audiences around the world as a motivational speaker, presenting to organizations such as the World Health Organization, the United Nations, and numerous mission-driven nonprofits dedicated to health, equity, and human potential.

A graduate of Stanford University with a degree in Human Biology and a concentration in Disability Studies, Muffy received the Stanford Alumni Association’s sole award for outstanding service to the community. Her professional career has included work as a national spokesperson for Independence Technology (a Johnson & Johnson company), the CDC’s Tobacco-Free Sports Program, and Disaboom.com—advancing public health, accessibility, and disability awareness. She is a former national board member of the Make-A-Wish Foundation and a former board member of U.S. Ski & Snowboard. In 2025, President Biden appointed Muffy to the U.S. Access Board, where she is currently serving a four-year term. She also recently served on the International Paralympic Committee’s Governing Board, the U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Committee Board, as well as the Los Angeles 2028 and Utah 2034 Boards, helping shape the future of accessible sport and inclusive communities at the highest levels. Across every role, she is recognized for collaborative leadership, principled decision-making, and a results-driven commitment to equity.

Muffy is one of the most accomplished adaptive athletes in history. A World Champion Alpine ski racer with more than 25 World Cup victories and two Overall World Cup titles, she overcame paralysis following a ski racing accident at age 16 to return to elite competition. She earned four medals at the 1998 and 2002 Winter Paralympic Games and later made history at the 2012 London Paralympic Games by winning three gold medals in Road Cycling. She has been inducted into the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Hall of Fame, the U.S. Ski & Snowboard Hall of Fame, and the Disabled Sports USA Ski Hall of Fame, three of the sport’s highest honors.

Her commitment to service also extends to elected office. Muffy served in the Idaho State Legislature and currently serves as a Commissioner in Blaine County, Idaho, where she champions sustainability, public lands preservation, housing, accessibility, and community well-being.

Muffy lives in Idaho with her husband, Jeff Burley, and their daughter, Elle.
