2025 Phunkshun Wear ‘Design Your Winter’ Art Contest Opens Jan. 1

PSIA-AASI Official Supplier Phunkshun Wear’s “Design Your Winter” wearable art contest opens the New Year on Jan. 1, 2025.

Now in its third year, this interactive competition sets the stage for professional instructors to share their design talents, win prizes, and create lasting apparel pieces for their fellow snow pros to rock on the slopes.

“We’re thrilled to see the return of the Phunkshun Wear PSIA-AASI Art Contest for its third year,” said Phunkshun Wear CEO Jay Badgley. “It’s inspiring to witness the incredible artistic talent of our instructors and to provide a platform that showcases their creativity for the entire membership to enjoy.”

Known for its eye-catching, high-quality, outdoor friendly facemasks, neck tubes, and other accessories for outdoor enthusiasts, Phunkshun Wear’s products are perfect for instructors because of their protection from the elements and ease of use.

The “Design Your Winter” contest extends that relationship by inviting association members to participate in the brand’s design process.

“The national office was quick to embrace this initiative from the start and has been incredibly supportive throughout,” Badgley said. “Their enthusiasm and commitment to fostering creativity within the PSIA-AASI community have been instrumental in bringing this project to life. We’re grateful for their continued backing, which has helped elevate the contest and make it a truly special annual event.”

The contest features cash prizes, Phunkshun Wear products highlighting the award-winning artwork, and the chance to be showcased at PSIA National Academy in Big Sky, Montana, in April, as well as to the association’s 33,000+ members here on TheSnowPros.org.

1. Read the submission details and learn about the prizes below
2. Submissions are open from Jan. 1 through Jan. 31
3. Voting is Feb. 1 to Feb. 15
4. Winners are announced March 1
5. Chosen artwork displayed at National Academy, April 13-18.

Submission Details

• Meet the deadlines. The Phunkshun Wear “Design Your Winter” contest runs from Wednesday, Jan. 1, until Friday, Jan. 31, at 11:59 p.m. MT.
• View the digital design template. Check out the official template for design details. DO NOT adjust document settings (color profile, resolution, etc.).
• View the nondigital specs. Not a digital artist? No problem. Use these specs for your drawing, painting, photograph, etc.:
  • 11” x 20” canvas (or close to it)
  • Designs will be repeated on the back of the mask
  • Keep any important elements 2” from the edge of the canvas
  • Scan @ 300dpi
• Submit your final art. Submit your final design (with the email subject line “Art Contest – Your Name – PSIA-AASI Member Number”; e.g., “Art Contest – Sofia Flores – 123456”) to .

The Prizes

Two final designs will be selected: one “Winning Design” chosen by Phunkshun Wear and one “People’s Choice Design” chosen by PSIA-AASI members through a popular vote on 10 design finalists selected by Phunkshun Wear.

10 finalists all receive 25 neck tubes with their artwork. Each of the two winners receive 50 neck tubes and $300 cash.
