Stephanie’s Goals for the Season
Goals: I’m focused on strengthening the left side of my body to balance my strength on my left and right sides.
My Goal Plan: To build equal strength on my left and right sides I’m doing the following:
- Incorporating pre-snowboarding activation stretches into my morning routine.
- Riding switch as much as possible. I’d like to ride switch more than my regular stance this season.
- Asking the people I ride with to call me out when I’m riding in my regular stance to remind me to switch it up.
- Doing a post-snowboarding cool-down stretch after I get off the mountain.
Resources to Use: I’m always looking for feedback and advice from my peers. Their input helps me learn new ways of doing things so I can implement these ideas into how I train, teach, and learn.
How You Can Use this Plan: No matter what your goals are, the people around you will serve as a resource to help you reach them. All you have to do is ask and listen. Sharing your aspirations with those around you will open the door for others to help you get there.
