National Team 2021-24: Meet Gregory Dixon
Gregory Dixon is a member of the 2021-24 PSIA-AASI National Team where he will help set the standard for snowsports instruction. PSIA-AASI hand-selected the 37 team members – 8 coaches and 29 team members – for their range of skills that allow them to serve as inspirational leaders and build enthusiasm for learning and having fun skiing and riding.

Where is your home mountain?
Mt Bachelor, Oregon.
What other occupations are you involved in?
Bike guiding and instruction
Describe a teaching or learning experience that sticks out in your mind.
I’ve learned a ton this year working with some really gifted trainers at Bachelor. Most notably, how to build connections, deliver meaningful and useful feedback, and how to serve as a mentor.
What are your specialties as a team member?
Managing and leading. As the training director for Mt. Bachelor’s Ski and Ride School, I get a lot of practice building our clinic leading staff.
Do you have any relevant certifications?
PSIA-certified Alpine Level III, Telemark Level III, Cross Country Level I, and Snowboard Level I. Children’s Specialist 2 and Freestyle Specialist 1. Professional Mountain Biker Instructors Association certified.
Who is your greatest inspiration as an instructor?
The national team as a whole. The depth and diversity of knowledge is inspiring.
Best part of teaching?
Learning from those you are teaching.
What’s your favorite run at your home mountain?
Thunderbird. Long, semi-steep blue groomer. Awesome trail to try and leave railroad tracks from top to bottom.
