Adult Snowsports Supervisor

POSITION:  

This position will primarily be working with our adult group programs and private lessons products for guests of all ages. Full-time, seasonal position. Ski and Ride School Supervisors are career and goal-oriented individuals with the ability to supervise all aspects of Ski & Ride School Operations. Responsibilities include engaging high levels of customer satisfaction, employee engagement and financial results, by using available technology, business & communication systems, supervising daily and seasonal staffing needs, training employees, submitting payroll, forward planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance, rewarding and discipline of employees; addressing complaints; resolving problems; scheduling, implementing orientation and exit procedures of employees; leveraging our programming, resources and people, to positively affect our revenue and labor performance. Current level 1 PSIA/AASI (or equivalent), with 2 years industry experience is required. Previous supervisory experience preferred.

SPECIFIC JOB REQUIREMENTS: 

  • Good communication and leadership skills
  • Must be Dependable and punctual
  • Knowledge of basic computer programs and the ability to learn new ones.
  • Able to think quick, create relationships with the staff and make non-judgmental assessments/decisions about staff usage
  • Possess an organized work style
  • Able to be innovative and creative
  • On snow supervision of Snowsports operation experience is a plus
  • Current Level I PSIA-AASI (or equivalent) Certification, and 2 years industry experience is required. Level II PSIA-AASI Certification preferred.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Train employees the skills and responsibilities being conducted daily
  • Implement schedules for staff under your supervision
  • Manage and execute on-snow adult programs and private lessons
  • Maintain accurate records of labor performance and revenue for department
  • Keep staff aware of overtime situations and apply appropriate timecard changes
