In this episode, Stacey welcomes Pete Allison, a professor at Penn State University in the Department for Recreation, Park, and Tourism Management. He works in two main areas: snowsports and outdoor and experiential learning.
For the past six years, Pete has worked with PSIA-AASI to progress the alignment project and enhance the teaching and learning quality across all PSIA-AASI Regions. He's also developing credit-bearing certificates in Snowsports Education through the World Campus at Penn State. He is also the Vice President of the International Association of Education and Science in Snowsports - one of the three pillar associations of Interski.
In addition to snowsports, Pete has a long history with Outward Bound. Before his time at Penn State, he worked with Outward Bound in Malaysia, Oman, and UNESCO, as well as an academic at The University of Edinburgh (UK).
