Make plans now to attend the Women's Virtual Summit, which features a kickoff keynote with Jessica Baker, mother, heli-guide, PSIA-AAS National Team contender, and founder of Ski Divas LLC. This Virtual Summit virtually brings together women from across PSIA-AASI divisions, different disciplines, and professional snowsports associations for online learning and networking. Please note that this event contains sessions held on three days, with virtual events being offered on Wednesday evenings from 6 to 7:30 p.m. MT on Jan. 26, Feb. 2, and Feb. 9. Attend every session to earn four (4) CEUs.
Also, the Women's Virtual Summit serves as a kick-starter event to the on-snow Women's Summit that takes place in person on Sunday, Feb. 27 through Wednesday, Mar. 2 in Stowe, Vermont. These are two separate events. However, if you'd like to take a deeper dive into the topics discussed at the Virtual Summit, make plans to attend the in-person event in February, too! The theme of "balance" and session topics dovetail between the virtual and in-person events.

In 2019, the Women's Advisory Group created a report about the experiences of women in snowsports. From that report, there emerged 6 key findings. This session focuses on two of the most pervasive key findings: mentorship and traits of trainers. You'll have an opportunity to listen to a more in-depth explanation of these two key findings, and an opportunity to discuss and digest the information in smaller groups. The small groups will include a 3-part exploration of each finding: 1. What are the facts that were found for each of the findings? 2. An open discussion about thoughts and feelings pertaining to those facts. 3. Bullet points of key takeaways of what to do now that the facts have been uncovered.
The Women's Advisory Group communicates and collaborates with PSIA-AASI operational leadership on Women's inclusion, programming and advancement. This group develops and promotes strategies and best practices to ensure women's educational opportunities and to increase women's representation at all levels of leadership. This advocacy group promotes actions that strive to empower women, to retain them in the industry, and to enhance their professional development. The ultimate goal is to provide the betterment of PSIA-AASI's culture through all facets of PSIA-AASI's education efforts, including the Learning Connection Model, so that all women are provided with an inclusive educational and professional experience through snowsports.
There will be interactive breakout groups, as well as full group sharing, but participation is optional. Should participants want to listen, they may choose to remain off camera and on mute during these opportunities.
