Course Description:
Whether skiing, snowboarding, running, cycling, or hula hooping, turning your feet can help you excel. But how do you do it effectively? What are the mechanics? Do your feet actually turn? How do you get better at it?
In this webinar, Level III alpine instructor and L100 USSA Coach Marjorie A. King, PhD, ATC, PT, FACSM, will help you understand the anatomy and musculature involved in foot steering to assist in self-evaluation, assess your own and students' movement patterns, and prescribe activities and training for performance improvement.
This 90-minute webinar will give you the knowledge to:
1. Explain the anatomy and musculature involved with turning your feet.
2. Demonstrate a guided self-assessment of your own foot steering prowess.
3. Illustrate the application of foot steering to athletic performance.
