Course Description (The Short Turn is Dead):
This clinic provides a comprehensive examination of short turn progressions, focusing on two primary approaches: the rotary-based progression beginning with pivot slips and the edging-first progression of skate-to-shape-to-short.
Course Description (Alpine Agility Drills):
What's a Cormayeur Shuffle? a Dolphin Turn? How about a Scissor Hop? Have you ever tried any Acro-Skiing moves?

In this HIGHLY energetic clinic, participants will Hop, Step, Glide, Squirm and Flail their way through skiing drills designed simply to develop and test their agility.
Agility drills disrupt your balance, interfere with your movement patterns, and challenge your concepts. Sometimes we perform them to prove a point to ourselves (so we can see), and sometimes to prove a point to others (so they can see).
Sometimes we create them just to watch another person try to untangle them.
In this fun and rewarding course, participants will explore the what, they how, and sometimes the why of some of skiings most elaborate of "stupid pet tricks". You may never be able to succeed at these tasks, but you'll have the chance to break them into their component parts.
Participants must be willing and able attempt high intensity exercises (like seriously)-- this is NOT a spectator course.
Course Description (Synchro Skills for Pattern Making and Breaking):
Alpine Synchro skiing gets a bad rap as a tired tool of ski instruction, the practice has some great qualities for developing and honing your skills. Synchro is a fantastic tool for M.A.-- you'll learn to see and feel how your turns differ from those of your partner(s)- and ideally learn not only how to adjust, but how to describe the adjustment. Synchro Skiing develops spatial awareness and visual acuity, helping participants maintain track of their position relative to their partner(s) in front, in back, and to the side.
Course Description (CEN- I've got a Task 4 That (Alpine)):
What- "I've got a Task 4 That" is designed to connect "Tasks" (the exercises and drills we employ to develop our skiing) to the outcome we are seeking to achieve. Instructors who may have heard of an exercise or drill, but have not understood why the task exists, or how to connect it to the desired take-away of the student.
Who- This course is for any instructor seeking to reach into a bigger tool-bag, and to pull out the "right" exercise or drill for the student they are teaching.
Why- Our students expect us to brilliantly prescribe, not to randomly sample.
