Course Description:

In this episode, Stacey welcomes Steven Nyman, who was the longest-tenured alpine racer on the U.S. Ski Team from 2002-23. He was the captain of the U.S. Men's Speed Team and one of the most successful downhill racers in American history. In 2016, he set an American Downhill record by finishing on the podium four times in a row (Pyeong Chang, Chamonix, Kvitfjell, and St. Moritz). Steven stayed energized throughout his career by seeking adventure on and off the race hill. Whether heli-skiing in Alaska, Chile, or New Zealand, skiing the famed Vallee Blanche in Chamonix post-podium performance, mono-skiing the Sella Ronda in the Dolomites, or climbing the iconic Super C Couloir while training in Portillo, Chile, Steven brings a love for mountain adventure. He is a four-time Olympian, three-time World Cup Winner, 11-time World Cup podium finisher, member of eight World Championship Teams, and a World Junior Champion. He is a graduate of Harvard Business School, and his philanthropic endeavors include SOS Outreach, Youth Sports Appliance, Protect Our Winters, and U.S. Ski Team. He is PSIA-AASI Alpine Level III and American Avalanche Institute Level 1 certified.
