Listen to Town Hall on Diversity and Inclusion in Snowsports

Last week, PSIA-AASI Chief Executive Officer Nicholas Herrin served as a panelist on the town hall “Together Creating Change Across the Winter Outdoor Industry.”

Presented by SnowSports Industries America (SIA), the town hall focused on how the snowsports industry can promote more diversity on the slopes, and generate a greater sense of inclusion.

Television host and sports commentator Selema Masekela moderated the town hall. Other panelists included Constance Beverley, Share Winter Foundation CEO; Dr. Gerilyn Davis, Inclusion on the Slopes Chief Inclusion Officer; Meegan Moszynski, National Ski Patrol Executive Director; Kelly Pawlak, National Ski Areas Association President/CEO; and Nick Sargent, SIA President.

More than 250 snowsports professionals tuned in for the town hall where Herrin explained how The Learning Connection, and in particular teaching and people skills, help instructors create a positive learning environment to set all students up for success.
