New Page Lists Alumni Team Rosters
In 1962 PSIA sent its first official delegation to Interski in Monte Bondone, Italy, and the association continues to support a group of elite instructors who identify new teaching and technical methods to help all members improve their lessons.
The instructor delegation was officially named the Interski Team when PSIA hosted the 1968 Interski in Aspen, Colorado. Then in 1976 the team was again renamed – this time to the Demonstration Team as team members began providing more U.S.-based clinics that went beyond Interski. In 1986 the team took the form it is today, the PSIA-AASI National Team, with an equal focus on alpine, snowboard, Nordic, and children’s education.
The PSIA-AASI National Team is made up of the top ski and snowboard instructors from across the country. These professionals are lifelong learners and some of the best skiers and riders in the game. Every four years PSIA-AASI selects a new team to serve as inspirational leaders and represent the association at the highest level.
Team members are responsible for promoting, supporting, and assisting with the development of PSIA-AASI education materials, programs, and activities. They set the standard for U.S. snowsports instruction and embody the ski and snowboard experience.
In recognition of all the present and past team members who have contributed their time, insight, and expertise over the past six decades, the PSIA-AASI website now hosts alumni team rosters. Take a look, and celebrate PSIA-AASI’s 60 year history.
