National Team 2021-24: Meet Ryan Christofferson

Ryan Christofferson is a member of the 2021-24 PSIA-AASI National Team where he will help set the standard for snowsports instruction. PSIA-AASI hand-selected the 37 team members – 8 coaches and 29 team members – for their range of skills that allow them to serve as inspirational leaders and build enthusiasm for learning and having fun skiing and riding.

What other occupations are you involved in?

Hairstylist.

Describe a teaching or learning experience that sticks out in your mind.

Working with freestyle athletes where style is as important as technique – it’s a fun challenge to try to combine individuality with techniques and form.

What are your specialties as a team member?

Freestyle, and training/development.

Do you have any relevant certifications or accreditations?

PSIA-certified Alpine Level III with Freestyle Specialist 3 credentials and Children’s Specialist 2 credentials.

Who is your greatest inspiration as an instructor?

My dad Bob Christofferson – he had an amazing ability to connect with guests and provide lasting memories.

Best part of teaching?

Watching people grow.
