As the Ski School Manager, you will be a part of the manager leadership team for Boreal Ridge Corporation. This position assists with the Services functions for all Snowsports Operations. The successful candidate will gain and develop experience in ski industry staff management, revenue center management and development. We strive to provide entrepreneurial experiences, services, and products to Boreal, Soda Springs & Woodward Tahoe guests. The Adult Snowsports Manager will help to carry out the annual revenue center plan in conjunction with the company’s strategic plan and the Snowsports/Rental Operations, process, and standards. Manages direct reports over Business Units to ensure high standards of systems, processes, communication, and administration. Ensures the highest level of guest service for primary guest service interaction areas. Works in unison with Mountain Sports managers to meet operational and company goals. The Adult Snowsports manager is responsible for efficient and effective operation of the Snowsports lesson Programs.

Essential Functions & Major Responsibilities

• Manage team member schedules, timecards, activities, and availability.
• Lead department hiring, onboarding and off boarding.
• Train front line team members to deliver high quality, friendly guest services.
• Administer employee safety training and compliance documentation.
• Assist in the development of department manuals, policies, and standards.
• Assign lessons to ensure the best possible outcome for guests and team members.
• Effectively communicate and coordinate the execution of company initiatives with direct reports and teams.
• Perform performance evaluations, disciplinary actions, and coaching.
• Assess guest feedback and create action plans to improve the guest experience.

Technical Skills

• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Office 365 programs
• Effective, friendly communication via email, phone, and in-person
• Experience with industry standard platforms such as RTP, Intouch, Flaik, is preferred.
• Audit, track and manage department budgets, spending and performance.
• Train instructors to deliver high quality lessons that prioritize Safety, Fun and Learning.

• Coordinate with other business units to ensure collective efforts towards company-wide initiatives.
• Assist other departments as necessary for resort operations, or as part of team member support program.
