Ski and Ride School Manager
Summary of Job:
The SRS Manager is responsible for all Adult/Private OR Children’s Operations at the Stowe Ski and Ride School. They are accountable for financial success, guest experience, and employee experience. This is achieved through focus on our employees, our guests, personal professional development, job-specific responsibilities, and strong team building. The expectation is to develop innovative ideas, champion safety, work across departments, and re-imagine operations to drive guest satisfaction and growth. As part of a team of operational managers, they will work with the Ski and Ride School Senior Manager and Director of Skier Services to lead the Ski and Ride School as a whole.
Essential Job responsibilities:
- Direct and monitor quality of overall products and staff to ensure exceptional guest experience, alignment with Resort and Company goals, and financial success.
- Provide feedback, growth, leadership, and training opportunities to develop supervisors and staff. Connect with and motivate supervisors, instructors, and staff.
- Lead, role model, and support Ski And Ride School, Resort, and Company safety programs. Stay current on guest and employee health and safety initiatives.
- Work with management team to provide tools, training, and tactics to ensure the quality of products and services for our guests. Resolve any guest complaints or issues when necessary.
- Maintain a global view for managing and improving adult and private lesson programs. Work closely with the SRS General Manager to make operational adjustments and contribute to innovations for the entire School.
- Communicate and work with other departments to create an environment of support and trust that will benefit staff and guests.
- Implement and hold staff accountable to both Ski & Snowboard School & company policies and procedures. Adhere to and model the Company’s mission, vision, and values.
- Monitor and maintain the quality and appearance of the locker rooms, base areas, and on hill learning zones.
- Actively seek information to remain current in the industry and remain involved with professional organizations (PSIA/AASI).

Indoor/Outdoor: | Outdoor: Skiing/snowboarding. Ability to ski/ride a variety of terrain and conditions to move around the mountain and demonstrate appropriate skills/movements to instructors and guests. Train staff and teach public when appropriate. |
Hazardous Materials/Noise: | No hazardous materials but noise exposure to snowmaking and grooming equipment |
Equipment Used in Job: | Appropriate alpine ski or snowboard equipment that includes clothing, boots, bindings, skis or board, radio, computer, phone, fax, race equipment, video and photographic equipment |
Holidays/Weekends/Evenings: | Required to work as needed, including holidays, weekends and some evenings. |
