Job Title: Ski and Ride School Training and Lesson Manager

Job Status: Year Round 10 Months

Job Summary:

The Training and Lesson Manager is responsible for leading all training and operational activities within the Ski & Ride School, with an emphasis on youth and general lesson programs. This role drives staff development through PSIA/AASI methods, designs and implements training curricula, oversees daily operations, manages client care initiatives, and helps achieve revenue and guest satisfaction targets.

Key focuses include recruiting, onboarding, ongoing staff development, scheduling based on fluctuating guest volumes, service recovery, and aligning staffing to business needs. The Manager will work across all divisions of Copper Mountain to ensure strategic programming, outstanding customer service, safety, and loyalty/retention of clients.

In summer/fall, the position will focus on recruitment, SOP documentation, orientation planning, and scheduling to ensure strategic resource deployment for winter operations.

Basic Requirements:
– Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
– Must be able to read Copper Mountain literature & forms
– Must have the ability to deal with high levels of activity (i.e., phone and guest/employee contact) for long periods of time
– Must be able to have adequate hearing for phone conversations in a noisy environment.
– Must be able to speak and pronounce the English Language free from error on a consistent basis.
– Must be able to stand for long periods of time
– Must have fine motor skills
– Must be able to ski/ride all terrain at Copper Mountain.
– Due to the sensitive nature of this position, a criminal background check will be conducted after position is accepted. This background check will be done in accordance with standards enacted under the Fair Credit Reporting Act.
– Must be at least 18 years old.
