Reports To: Adult Ski & Ride School Manager
Pay Status: Hourly
YR Status: Seasonal (beginning approx. October 28th)
Benefit Status: Eligible (Medical/Vision/Dental/401k)
Pay Rate: Starting at $24/hr DOE

The Ski & Ride School Supervisor is a member of the Sierra-at-Tahoe Ski & Ride School management team who is responsible for the overall quality of all on-snow ski and ride operations at the resort. This position will have a daily operational role working directly with the Ski & Ride School Children & Adult Program Managers, Director, Instructors and our guests.

Duties and Responsibilities are (but not limited to):
1. On-snow management and coaching of professional instructors to provide exceptional guest service.
2. Monitor business levels and maintain appropriate staffing levels.
3. Administer all instructor lesson assignments.
4. Assist with administrative duties towards the completion of daily Ski & Ride school payroll responsibilities.
5. Oversee daily Ski & Ride School operations and lesson quality control.
6. Monitor daily lesson content checking for compliance utilizing The Learning Connection Model, communicate with Manager on observations noting potential opportunities for future staff development to provide a better guest experience.
7. Communicate & ensure that all instructors are knowledgeable about all lesson product offerings while promoting teamwork of all professional staff.
8. Uphold safety standards within the department, be an advocate for all safety initiatives of the resort, for our guests and staff.
9. Daily set-up and breakdown of all Ski & Ride School signage, fencing and other necessary materials.
10. Available to instruct on an as-needed basis.

QUALIFICATIONS
1. 3 years minimum experience as an instructor – required.
2. PSIA/AASI Level 2 Certification – preferred
3. PSIA-AASI Children’s Specialist 1 – preferred
4. Leadership experience in a Snowsports School – required.
5. Strong leadership skills and must work well in a team environment – required.
6. Must understand and deliver exceptional guest service – required.
7. Strong computer skills, Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint- required.
8. Must be able to read, write, speak, understand, and comprehend English fluently – required.
9. Must be able to work weekends and holidays throughout the season – required.
10. Must be able to work from November-April – required.
