Location: Solitude (Park in the moonbeam base area near the Snowsports academy building. Meet slopeside near the base of the Link chairlift. Clinic leader will have your lift passes.)
There is no free parking at Solitude. We recommend you park in the Park and Ride lots and take the bus or carpool .The daily parking plan is tiered based on vehicle occupancy. It's $20 for a vehicle holding one or two people, $10 for three occupants and $5 for vehicles with four or more people in it. Information on the UTA Ski Bus service can be found on their website.

Course Description:

In this half-day clinic, participants will explore discipline-specific fundamentals through the lens of downhill mountain biking. Experience lift-serviced biking and downhill-specific trails built by Gravity Logic while also dusting off our instructor's brains in preparation for Winter. Lift passes will be included with this event. Discounted rental bikes and armor packages are available.

Learning outcomes

  • Learn about the similarities and differences between mountain bike and snow sports instruction.
  • Review video feedback and practice applying PSIA movement analysis concepts to personal riding.
  • Reinforce technical understanding of discipline-specific fundamentals, teaching tactics, and learning concepts.

Participants can expect to ride a variety of green and blue trails with small to medium freeride features. This clinic is appropriate for beginner to intermediate level mountain bikers.

Necessary equipment:

Full suspension bike with minimum 130mm of travel & hydraulic disc brakes (discounted rentals available through the resort)

Helmets are required to ride at the bike park. Eyewear (goggles or glasses), gloves, and protective gear are recommended.
