Course Description:
Description - Technical & Teaching Skills Clinic, a full day on-snow. Qualifies as continuing education.
Continuing Education Goals
- Improve accuracy of fundamentals to create efficient skiing.
- Share strategies for teaching intermediate, aging or timid students that include specific elements of stance, edging and rotational control.
Clinic Outcome - By the end of this clinic the participant will demonstrate and share teaching considerations that create efficient skiing by:
- Staying centered on the skis
- Aligning towards the outside ski
- Control the edging and rotation of skis within a small range of movement
Clinic Experiences - During this clinic:
- The clinic leader and participants will collaborate to define efficient skiing
- The clinic leader will demonstrate and describe specific technical adjustments to stance, edging and rotational control
- The clinic leader and the participants will collaborate to create teaching strategies that incorporate one of the technical themes: stance, edging and rotational control.
- The participants will demonstrate and describe tangible changes to their efficiency
