Course Description:

Join National Team members and Eastern Region Freestyle education staff for three days in the terrain parks. This is a great course to build up your park skills or get ready for a Freestyle Specialist 1 or 2 at the end of the week. Be it jumps, rails, or flatland tricks, this course will help you develop your technical and teaching skills to take you to that next level. There will be opportunities to gain skills and spend time with like-minded instructors from all over the country at the only National Freestyle event. This is part of a 5-day, week-long series of events, including an optional evening social hour. You can participate in this camp as a standalone event or sign up for the package including a Freestyle Specialist 1 or 2 at the end of the week.

Specific activities will vary depending on the group's needs and environmental conditions and typically include:

• Review proper safety and etiquette in the park environment

• Use freestyle building blocks to improve individual performance

• Explore activities to develop an understanding of the cause and effect relationship between body movement and equipment performance.

• Receive individual, specific feedback.

Learning Outcomes:

• Explore teaching, technical and people skills in the freestyle environment.

• Familiarize yourself with common freestyle teaching models, tools and etiquette.

• Gain knowledge of Freestyle Specialist Standards.
