Course Description:

The Certified Level I process consists of an assessment of basic skiing skills, teaching skills, and professional knowledge (which refers to technical and mechanical knowledge as well as to knowledge of guest service, PSIA, the ski industry, and risk management). Candidates should be prepared to lead the group through some basic ski instruction scenarios.

Please refer to the Alpine Assessment Guide and reference information for complete details at https://www.psia-e.org/ed/nordic-education.

We highly recommend reviewing the National Standards.

All Telemark Level I Exam candidates are required to complete the online component Telemark Level I Professional Knowledge Exam prior to registering for their on-snow evaluation.
