IMPORTANT: You will need to pick up your J card prior to boarding the gondola in Cafe 6311 in the Bridger Center. Please note that you will not be able to store gear in the Solitude Building and will need to leave it at the base or in your car prior to going up the lift.

Course Description:
Description: Technical Skills Clinic, Full Day, On-Snow
Assessment Prep Goal: This clinic will prepare candidates for off-piste skiing expected at the Level 3 standard. Participants will ski non-groomed/natural snow conditions on advanced and expert terrain, but may also spend time in other conditions.
Continuing Education Goal: Improve personal skiing in natural snow conditions.
Clinic Outcomes: By the end of this clinic, participants will be able to:
-- Link a series of round turns in a variety of snow textures on advanced and expert terrain.
-- Identify and discuss the personal changes that contributed to more confident and controlled
off-piste skiing.
Clinic Experiences:
-- The clinic leader and participants will collaborate to determine a relevant goal related to off-
piste skiing.
-- The participants will ski off-piste advanced and expert terrain.
-- The clinic leader will emphasize skill blends that create round turns that are the result of the
ski's design and maintain a consistent yet aggressive speed with minimal deceleration.
-- The clinic leader will demonstrate tactics to adapt turn shape, size, and line in response to
the conditions.
-- The clinic leader will provide feedback so participants are able to make specific adjustments.
-- The clinic leader will facilitate practice so participants may apply their feedback
-- The clinic leader will facilitate reflection on the day's goal and what tactics helped in creating
consistency and control off-piste.
