Course Description:
Are they silly or serious? Where do they fall developmentally for their age? What do they want to learn and how realistic is that goal? In this course we will address how to identify and meet the goals of both students and parents while creating engaging and exploratory learning experiences tailored to the kiddos in your lessons. We will explore how to apply the CAP model to create developmentally appropriate progressions and fun activities using props, prompts, and terrain to inspire skill development in our students. If you are a children's instructor or interested in learning more about teaching children how to ski or ride, then this course is for you!
This is a multidisciplinary course with the possibility of alpine, snowboard, and telemark participants in the same group.
