Course Description:

Looking to refresh your teaching and stay current with the latest ideas shaping snowsports instruction? This clinic focuses on the teaching side of the Learning Connection Model, with an emphasis on effective communication, lesson design, and group management. Participants will explore new strategies for creating engaging lessons while aligning with current PSIA-AASI teaching concepts. You'll walk away with refreshed tools, updated approaches, and the confidence to apply them in your teaching this season.

Learning Experiences:

Specific activities will vary depending on group needs and conditions, and typically include:

• Exploration of teaching strategies through scenario-based practice with peer and clinician feedback.

• Discussions on current trends in teaching and lesson design

• Opportunities for Q & A on teaching, movement assessment, and equipment considerations

Learning Outcomes:

By the end of this course, successful participants will be able to:

• Apply updated PSIA-AASI teaching concepts in real lesson scenarios

• A deeper understanding of how to adapt communication and group management strategies to student needs

• Connect technical understanding to effective, student-centered lesson design
