Getting ready to attend a Level 1 Assessment? This course will help you prepare for this first step in your exciting career as an instructor. It is required for all Level 1 candidates who are not yet affiliated with a resort and can support those with limited access to formal training. Through the lens of the Learning Connection Model, gain an understanding of the Fundamentals (technical, teaching and people skills) in the beginner/novice zone. Through on-hill practice, peer-to-peer activities, teaching scenarios and group discussions, become familiar with the format, assessment criteria and activities of the Level 1 Assessment. Participants should arrive prepared to be on snow for two days and able to ski or ride safely on all green and blue terrain.
