Course Description:
Snowsports Educators--get ready for one of the most engaging and immersive events in Snowsports history, right here in Central.
Humans are learning differently today, with more information accessible on more platforms than ever. For most learners today, the textbooks and printed references we used to consult are pretty far down the priority list, after first checking Google, ChatGPT, and YouTube. Still, we can only go so far with reference sources in learning movement, and in performance-based activities like skiing and riding, personal and direct coaching can have a meaningful impact. So how do we bridge learning, from where we were to where we are today? We'll be approaching this subject at the PSIA-AASI Central Snowsports Educators College--October 25th at the Lululemon Experiential Center at the Mall of America. We're bringing an amazing lineup of presenters for an immersive day of next-level education. We've got Horst Abraham, Heidi Ettlinger, Ron Kipp, and Corrianne Lambert. We're going to talk about learning theory, the evolution of technique, the new PSIA-AASI Fitness manual--including workout sessions with Heidi and Corrianne for some registrants. Bring your fitness clothes or take advantage of a special offer from Lululemon*. We'll offer keynotes, breaks for smoothies and snacks, discounted lunch at the Lululemon Cafe, and break into smaller group presentations for lively dialogue and interaction. From our perspective, this is going to be a gathering of some of the most innovative and influential minds in snowsports, all in one fantastic location.
