Technical Skills (Movement Analysis)
Description:
This casual-yet-rich in-person seminar is built around three skier video clips (Level I, II, and III suitability) to promote thoughtful discussion, analysis, and shared insights. Participants gather in a relaxed setting--complete with coffee and donuts--to deepen their movement analysis skills while watching, discussing, and deconstructing skier performance in a supportive group environment.
Not everyone is required to present--ideal for those who learn best by listening, observing, and contributing when inspired.
Prerequisites:
Open to all instructors. Content is tailored to match certification levels I through III.
Outcomes:
- Expand vocabulary and precision in describing skier performance.
- Learn from peers across levels of experience.
- Practice applying the Skills Concept and Alpine Fundamentals across certification levels.
- Grow confidence in group discussions about skiing performance.
Experiences:
- Review and discuss three curated skier videos representing different certification standards.
- Collaborative analysis led by a facilitator.
- Optional presentation opportunities for participants.
- Insightful examiner-led debriefs on analysis approach and observations.
