Course Description:

Please come prepared to ski each of the 3 days for this exam. You must attend all 3 days at once if this is your first time attending.


The Alpine Level 1 E-Learning Module must be completed before you can sign up to attend this event, please see this link for directions on how to complete the LMS: https://lms.thesnowpros.org/


If you are not affiliated with a Snowsports School or have not gone through a new hire training clinic at a Snowsports School prior to your attendance of the Alpine Level 1 Exam, you MUST attend the Alpine Precision Skiing 101 event prior to attending the Level 1 Exam.


The order of days for the Alpine Level 1 Day 1: Movement Analysis, Day 2: Skiing, Day 3: Teaching.


The Level 1 Exam is a trade certification validating a candidate's ability to effectively work with beginning skiers (levels 1-4). It consists of a prerequisite e-learning course that is followed by 3 on-snow coaching and evaluation days. Teaching, Technical Understanding/Movement Analysis and Skiing Demonstration skills are all attributes of successful Level 1 instructors. Our professional staff will inspire you to work hard and learn more! Coaching and guided practice are hallmarks of the level 1 exam. Come prepared to enhance your skills as a teacher and as a skier and also to make new friends. Those candidates successfully completing the 3-day exam and all requirements are awarded the PSIA Level 1 Certification.
