Course Description:
Designed for telemark skiers preparing for their PSIA certification exam, this clinic focuses on refining technique, building teaching skills, and developing the confidence needed for exam success. Led by experienced examiners and trainers, participants receive targeted feedback on their skiing and teaching demonstrations in a supportive, exam-focused environment.
LEARNING OUTCOMES
By the end of this clinic, participants will be able to:
- Ski to the standard - Demonstrate refined telemark technique with improved balance, edge control, and rhythm across varied terrain, including smooth transitions between telemark and alpine turns.
- Teach and analyze - Deliver an effective lesson progression using telemark-specific drills, and assess a skier's performance accurately enough to prescribe a correction.
- Know the exam - Describe the exam format, expectations, and evaluation criteria for your level.
- Build exam confidence - Perform under mock exam conditions and act on examiner feedback about where you sit against the standard.
- Telemark specific. Geared toward exam candidates. Earns continuing education credit (CEUs).
