Course Description:

Course Name: Level III Intensive Assessment Prep Teaching

Discipline: Alpine

Time: 2 Days (12 credits)

This event will have sessions of video to help candidates gain a deeper understanding of developing a Movement assessment process in addition to on hill Movement Assessment and teaching practice. Goal of this event is to dive deep into developing great MA and Tech understanding to focus more on the student and student desired outcomes. This event will go slightly past 4 PM on the first day to review the day and go over teaching focus on day 2. This event will have a Zoom call before the event focusing on the Assessment Process and Assessment Criteria.

Prerequisites:

· Current PSIA-AASI Membership, Level 2 Certification.

· Successful completion of the PSIA Level III Skiing Assessment is preferred, but not required.

· Alpine Technical Manual

· Teaching Snowsports Manual

· PSIA-E Alpine Assessment Guide

· PSIA Alpine Certification Standards

· A fitness level adequate for two full days of skiing.
