Course Description:

DURATION - 2 Days

CEUs - 12

PREREQUISITES - Alpine Level III Certification

RECOMMENDED PREP - Read the Teaching, People, and Technical Skills Performance Guides and make sure you consistently deliver at level 3+. Own the material from the alpine technical manual and the teaching snowsports manual. Familiarize yourself with the concepts in the children's manual and the freestyle manual.

You've put in the work. You have the shiny gold pin. Your skiing turns heads on the lift and your private book is full. But you have more to give. If you feel called to serve the membership as a clinician and examiner, join us and take the first step at Alpine Dev Team Prep.

This event serves as a stepping stone in preparation for the Development Team Tryout, an on-snow job interview which typically takes place every other season. Participants can expect to strive for excellence in all three domains of the Learning Connection Model, with clinicians tailoring the focus to the main goals of the group. Participants should be confident in their ability to rip any terrain hard for two days and come prepared with questions to be active participants in their development journey.

Activities may include:

  • Guided practice of the Level III Assessment Activities
  • A review of the tryout format
  • Opportunities for peer-to-peer coaching with clinician-minded feedback

Refer to the Alpine Certification & Professional Development Path for more information about the Development Team and our Eastern Ed Staff.
