Instructors who earn a PSIA or AASI pin wear it with pride and enjoy being a part of a passionate community of certified professionals. Snow Pros are dedicated enthusiasts who want to share their love of skiing or riding with others in the most inclusive, efficient, safe, and fun ways possible. Certified instructors demonstrate high proficiency with people, teaching, and technical skills, and pursue continuing education and professional development throughout their instructing careers.
Support Instructor Scholarships When You Renew or Join
We invite you to support scholarships when you renew your membership. In 2025, PSIA-AASI awarded more than 100 scholarships totaling $65,000. A robust scholarship fund encourages diversity within snowsports instruction and helps us retain instructors as we remove financial barriers to pursue training and certifications. Donating to the Education Foundation (via your renewal form) is one of the best ways members can help members! Thank you for any gift you can make.
Did You Get Behind on Earning CEUs?
We have you covered. Keep an eye on the calendar for summer events in all regions. You could earn continuing education units (CEUs) by improving and evolving your teaching through everything from mountain biking to stand-up paddleboarding. Or, check out the large library of on-demand, for-credit online courses available with your membership. Remember that to maintain an active certification, you need 6 CEUs per year.

Each season, PSIA-AASI honors instructors who have hit decade milestones as members. In 2025, we awarded 26 sixty-year pins, 822 ten-year pins, and hundreds more in between. Choose Your Discipline
PSIA-AASI offers professional certification in all major snowsports disciplines. Start with Level I and work your way up to Level Ill, gain certification in multiple disciplines, or explore children’s and freestyle specialties. Beyond Level III, you can become an instructor trainer, join our education staff, and aim for the National Team. Choose your sport to learn more.

When you join PSIA-AASI, you also become a member of a PSIA-AASI region. Our eight regions cover the entire U.S. and ensure you have local knowledge and representation. Your region is your home for in-person events, certification clinics, instructor training, volunteer opportunities, and community building.
